Wolverines, volunteer for Thanksgiving dinner at the Love Kitchen in Compton

Wolverine Boys Basketball Coach Jonathan Chaney paid food for a year for Salvation army in Compton for the Love Kitchen. This event happens every Monday and Wednesday to help feed the homeless. He staffs the the kitchen with volunteers, parents, Compton Magic staff, NBA players (Alumni), teachers, city council members, etc. Compton Magic started down the street from the Salvation Army at Compton High School. The Salvation Army is in the neighborhood of the 1st Compton Magic NBA player to come out the program, Jeff Trepagnier (USC/Denver Nuggets). Since the program has grown over 25 years, he want to show  young kids where this program started; the alumni that paved the way for them to be successful in this program. Their mission is to help people in the community.
The money that they donated helps pay for hot meals on Monday nights, and lunch bag meals on Wednesday that are passed out to the homeless.
