Our prayer is that we can shepherd our students’ hearts to grow in wisdom and knowledge of the truths of the Bible, as well as to develop a real and thriving relationship with the Lord. The Bible says to “train up a child in the way he should go and even when he is old he will not depart from it,” (Proverbs 22:6 ESV) and we truly believe that it is our privilege and purpose as Christian educators to train and equip students to know the gospel on a deeper level and to enable them to defend their faith.
Our elementary staff has a deep commitment to disciple these students and cultivate their relationships with the Lord. Every teacher starts their class with student-led prayer and they include pledges to the Christian flag and Bible in their daily routines. Faculty and staff also pray with students throughout the day and always hold themselves to a high standard of Christian conduct. School-wide chapel is held on a weekly basis and awards are given monthly at chapel to honor students who display the fruits of the spirit.
We have newly implemented the Deep Roots Bible curriculum for 1st-4th grade, which we use in conjunction with Purposeful Design Bible curriculum for K and 5th grade. Deep Roots is specifically designed to develop deep biblical roots in our students in regards to their knowledge of the Bible truths, the real application to their lives, and the true infallibility of God’s word. The goal is not only to teach what the Bible says, but to allow students to develop real and personal relationships with Jesus. We also strive to equip them to intellectually defend their faith, so that when they grow up, they will not depart from His truth.
